Testosterone may increase heart strength in women

Women with advanced chronic heart failure may get help with a testosterone supplementation. However, researchers are not ready to recommend the prescribing hormone to female patients.

Heart failure is most common in people who are in their 60s, 70s and beyond. In fact, testosterone appears to improve functional capacity and muscle strength. It's a new study published in the Oct. 12 issue of the Journal of the American College of Cardiology.
