Healthcare workers use more CAM than general public
U.S. healthcare workers use alternative medicine more than the general public, according to a new study.
The study, conducted by the Penny George institute for Health and Haeling with Allina Hospitals and Clinics (Minneapolis, Minn.) found that 76 percent of healthcare workers in the U.S. reported using at least one form of complementary or alternative medicine (CAM) within the past year.
About 63 percent of the general population said they had used a form of CAM within the past year.
