Canine Therapy is a form of pet-assisted therapy that uses dogs to help relieve stress in patients. Dogs have been therapy assistants in nursing homes, treatment facilities for the developmentally disabled, hospices for the terminally ill, and in doctor's offices and hospitals, where the presence of dogs is used to help patients overcome their fear of treatment.
