Fun Historical Facts about Belladonna

Belladonna has a colofrul history, including some paranormal and superstitious stores. The Flower has several names for its many uses and stories. 



The French called Belladonna Deuil, which means grief, probably because of its fatal properties. Later, In Chaucer’s day, Belladonna was known as Dwale, from the Scandinavian Dool, meaning “to sleep,” for its sedation properties.
