Vitamin A and breast cancer

New research has determined that retinol, which we often call “Vitamin A,” may help slow the growth rate of breast cancer cells. The study, which was conducted at the Fox Chase cancer Center, determined that a metabolite of retinol called retinoic acid may bind to a protein receptor sit on the tumor cell that regulates cell growth.
