Niacin, also known as Vitamin B-3, is a water-soluble vitamin found in lean meats, poultry, fish, peanuts, brewer's yeast, wheat germ, whole wheat products, dessicated liver, wheat, avocados, dates, figs, and prunes. It is most effective when taken with B-Complex, B-1, B-2, Vitamin C, and Pantothenic Acid. Niacin is necessary for the health of the nervous system, skin, digestive system, and circulatory system, and also has an important role in helping to synthesize sex hormones.
