Join this discussion about aspartame being blamed for Parkinson's Disease
I thought aspartame was linked to Cancer.
Thank you for ments. The e of Parkinson's is unknown, and the few facts scientists are certain of still do not provide promise for a treatment. Michael J. Fox himself has never researched aspartame as a e for his disease, though he has dedicated hundreds of ands of dollars searching for the cure. So he doesn't believe there is a link either.
I personally prefer stevia products for sweeteners over surgar or aspartame. It seems like the safest alternative to sugar, and sweeter too!
Read more at www.altmeds.comTrying to connect Parkinson’s disease with aspartame is absolute BS. Aspartame is perhaps the best studied substance in history; it is perfectly ed as directed. Still some people respond with headaches and other issues. But adverse responses to ingestion of aspartame seem not to be the issue, but instead may well be evidence of fundamental and underlying health issues.
If you really want to know the facts, read my posts to to understand how and why a single paradigm (folate and folate-related issues including B12) can explain any personal susceptibility to aspartame. Then consider as specific evidence of that paradigm the following 2010 report linking neurological disease development to high homocysteine, Homocysteine is truly an excitotoxic substance, unlike aspartame. It is already know to be a health risk indicator, and it is most often associated with low vitamins B12 and/or low folate or other still related personal issues.
Aspartame has nothing to do with development of this disease!
