Fibromyalgia responds to homeopathic remedy in study
New studies indicate that fibromyalgia, a baffling chronic condition, may respond to homeopathic treatment. Well-designed scientific studies published in Rheumatology (the journal of the British Society for Rheumatology) and the British Medical Journal have confirmed the real benefits of homeopathic medicines as distinct from a placebo.
The studies cited were both double-blind (in which neither the researchers nor the participants knew whether they were receiving a real homeopathic remedy or a placebo) and crossover (meaning each patient was given a trial of the real homeopathic remedy and a trial of the placebo, and results were compared for each individual).
