Broccoli may contain cancer fighter
Researchers at Oregon State University report a compound called found in broccoli may be effective at killing cancer cells.
The compound, called sulforaphane, seems to have the ability to recognize hyperplastic (overgrown) and cancerous cells and destroy them, while leaving normal, healthy cells untouched. The cells tested were prostate cancer cells.
