Myofascial Release Therapy


 

Myofascial release therapy is a hands-on technique used to free tight fascia, or connective tissue, and thus restoring normal alignment and function. One primary purpose of this therapy is to reduce pain. Using their hands, therapists apply mild, sustained pressure to gently stretch and soften the fascia. Myofascial release is sometimes used to treat neck and back pain, headaches, recurring sports injuries, scoliosis, and other conditions.
